A Letter from the Superintendent - Winter '24

Jonathan Green

"These stories not only serve to tell the larger Meridian story but also act as a poignant reminder of the power of education and community."

I am pleased to extend a warm welcome as we present the Winter issue of Fusion Magazine. This publication is a testament to some of the remarkable people who breathe life into Meridian, and I am honored to introduce you to some of these outstanding members of our community.

Within these pages, you will have the privilege of meeting eleven extraordinary individuals, including our hardworking High School/Junior High School Principal, a dedicated Social Worker, an inspiring coach, our longtime Athletic Director, along with several teachers, staff members, and specialists, all of whom play pivotal roles in supporting our students' educational journeys and overall well-being. Their stories are a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication that define Meridian.

Furthermore, this issue offers a unique perspective as we share the view ahead through the eyes of Javionne Ranson. By proxy, Javionne's insights provide a valuable glimpse into the life of all Meridian students, highlighting aspirations, challenges, and triumphs.

As we navigate the academic year ahead, these stories serve as a poignant reminder of the power of education and community. They exemplify the spirit that defines Meridian. I encourage you to immerse yourselves in this Winter issue of Fusion Magazine and join us in celebrating the exceptional contributions of our students, staff, and community members.

Thank you for your continued support, encouragement of our kids, and your engagement in our schools. Together, we are shaping Meridian into a beacon of excellence, innovation, inclusivity, and community pride.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Green
Superintendent, Meridian Schools
