In this issue of our award-winning magazine, Fusion, we feature the stories of six students and six educators. This group is representative of so many here at Meridian who are hardworking, creative, driven, capable, and kind.

From the Superintendent
The Meridian family extends well beyond our campus. Each of us plays an important role in this partnership we call Meridian.

Each of these students is charting a course for their future and putting in the effort to make good things happen. They are executing on their dreams. As an educator, there is no greater reward than knowing you’ve made a difference in the life of a young person. The six educators featured in this issue of Fusion are no strangers to that reward. Together, they represent more than 120 years of educational experience, and many more years of collective wisdom beyond that. We are fortunate to have this team of educators here at Meridian for all kinds of good reasons, not the least of which is the difference they make on a daily basis in the lives of our kids. And they’re all ‘our kids.’

Whether for work, trade school, college, the military, or the family farm or business, our role here as educators is to see that our graduates are competitively prepared to go out into the world and make a difference. I believe that those of us who work in these buildings meet that bar and raise it every day. But the Meridian family extends well beyond our campus. It includes you, the parent, the grandparent, the retiree, the empty-nester, the young couple, and those who have recently graduated from our school; each of us plays an important role in this partnership we call Meridian, and so I invite you to bring your talents and energies to this partnership in whatever way you believe you can. Just like the students who will leave these halls in a few short weeks, you have the capacity to be a game-changer; a world-changer, even.

I continue to be immensely proud of Bobcat Nation for all it has accomplished and for all, together, we will accomplish. And it is my absolute honor to serve the District as its Superintendent. #bobcatsrising
